A fashionable way to give back! QVC, Kelly Ripa, and Kim Kardashian came together on Saturday, July 31st to increase awareness over ovarian cancer, an illness that can “disguise itself” without symptoms. Kelly and Kim joined forces for a special PSA which built momentum for a Super Saturday shopping event. The exclusive sale, which was previously only available to Hamptons’ tastemakers and celebrities, reached QVC’s more than 98 million U.S. households, allowing shoppers throughout the country to get designer styles at half the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, with net proceeds benefitting the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).
As part of this great cause, Ripa and Kardashian donned disguises and encouraged fans on Facebook to do the same. Viewers had the opportunity to create a disguise poster and share with their friends. They could also win a trip to NYC to attend a star-studded QVC fashion party, meet and greet the Kardashians as well as attend the live QVC fashion show!
